Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Consumer Rights" provides for the consumer's right to exchange a non-food product of good quality for a similar one if the purchased product does not fit in shape, dimensions, style, color, size or for other reasons cannot be used for its intended purpose. Exchange is possible within 14 days, not counting the day of purchase, unless a longer period is declared by the seller. The goods are exchanged if they have not been used and if their presentation, consumer properties, seals, labels and the payment document issued by the seller along with the goods are preserved. If at the time of exchange the required goods are not on sale, the consumer has the right to terminate the sales contract and get their money back.

However, not every product can be exchanged (returned) in this way. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a list of goods of proper quality that are not subject to exchange or return. Such goods include:
